Hello, I am an integrative therapist, working with a variety of men’s issues; anything from anger management through depression and anxiety, to self-esteem and childhood issues. It can be hard for us chaps to reach out sometimes, and understanding that, I work with patience and compassion to draw the issues from you at your own working pace.
Therapy can be an exciting and rewarding process. It can also be hard, and challenging. I am here to help you to become the best version of yourself.

I am a Gestalt Counsellor (regsitered with BACP) and started seeing clients in 2013. This was through placements at Hampshire charities No Limits (young people) and Cruse (bereavement). From 2017 to 2019 I set up and ran a counselling service with London charity Positive21 (HIV). I am co-author of “Strength to Talk” which is dedicated to men’s mental health with all proceeds going to the charity Mind.
Anyone interested in counselling can have a free consultation session (30mins) to ask any questions and check that we could make progress.
After that I work online via “Psychology Today Sessions” (encrypted video service) each session lasts 50 minutes.
The model I use is Gestalt/Humanistic theory.

My aim is to empower you to use the therapeutic benefits of the great outdoors and to introduce you to practical strategies that help build a healthier mindset through Coaching Psychology. Sessions usually take place on the beautiful Cannock Chase, 2684 hectares of coniferous and broadleaf woodlands, in Staffordshire, England. I typically use principles from compassion focussed therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, solution focussed therapy and mindfulness. I offer a free telephone appointment to find out if this is the right approach for you.

I work as part of a team of online specialist clinical psychologists. We use technology to maximise each session you have and keep you well. We divide ourselves up into areas of expertise – so if you’ve experienced something traumatic, for example, the best professional care you can receive is from a clinical psychologist who has chosen to specialise in trauma. My expertise is OCD, BDD and obsessional and anxiety difficulties, such as perfectionism.

In my approach, I place importance on exploring the root cause of the problem and provide an affirming therapeutic space to facilitate change. A therapeutic relationship that is accepting and non-judgmental makes space for growth and healing. Psychotherapy and counselling invites an exploration of challenging past experiences and focuses on processing the feelings we hold as a result of these experiences. At the heart of our work together we will seek to understand our emotions and work alongside them. As we work through the foundations of patterns, behaviours, and feelings in a safe and supported environment, we gain greater insight into ourselves, this is where we can make significant change.

Our past and present are intimately linked by our memories. Our memories are heavily influenced and based on feelings we had surrounding an event or experience. These experiences may be impacting your life right now, even the ones that might seem irrelevant or insignificant. If we don’t become aware of this connection it will keep affecting our future. Prolonged stress can manifest itself in physical forms, including illness, lack of energy, problems with sleep, headaches, depression and anxiety.
